Reporting Inappropriate Behavior

Your safety is important to us. If you encounter behavior on Match that violates our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines, or otherwise makes you uncomfortable, you can report it directly. Reporting helps our team review concerns and take action to support a respectful and safe community.

How can I report?

You can submit a report from a member's profile or messages. 

Reporting a profile 

1. Visit the member's profile.
2. Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner.
3. Select Report.
4. Choose the reason for your report and follow the prompts to submit it.

Reporting a message

1. Tap on the chat with the message(s) that you want to report.
2. Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner.
3. Select Report.
4. Choose the reason for your report and follow the prompts to submit it.

Including relevant details helps our team better understand and review the situation.

What happens after I report?

We understand that reporting can be difficult, and we take your concerns seriously. Whether you provide a little or a lot of information, we’ll handle it with care and do our best to support you. 

All reports are treated as confidential. Users may receive a generic notification that a report led to their account being reviewed, but details of who submitted the report or the contents of the report will not be disclosed. Exceptions may be made in rare instances where required by law.

As a friendly reminder, please make sure your report is truthful. Submitting false or malicious reports can harm others and may result in a ban.
