Hiding Your Profile - Stay Invisible on Match

You can hide your Match profile to remain invisible to other members. While hidden, your profile won’t appear in search results, and new members cannot view it. Previous message threads remain accessible, and you can adjust your visibility at any time through your profile settings

There may be times, such as when you start a new relationship or want a break from dating, that you want to hide your profile. When hidden, your profile will not appear in search results, making you incognito to other members.

Tip: Hiding your profile reduces your chances of finding a match, so we recommend using this feature only when taking a break or if you’ve met someone you’re interested in.

Who Can See My Hidden Profile?

• Hidden profiles are no longer visible on the site and won’t appear in search results.
  
  
• Previous connections can still read and reply to messages you exchanged before hiding your profile.
  
  
• Your profile will appear as “Profile Unavailable” in message threads for other members.
  
  

Adjusting Your Visibility

• Click your photo thumbnail in the header and select your visibility preference:
  
  
  • Allow anyone to view your profile
    
    
  • Hide your profile from everyone
    
    

Additional Notes:

• If you view another member’s profile while hidden, your visit is registered, but only appears in their “Who’s Viewed Me” section once you unhide your profile.
  
  
• Your profile counter may continue to increase while hidden if members attempt (unsuccessfully) to view your profile.
